András Engelmann

András Engelmann is a movement artist from Budapest, Hungary. He studied at the Hungarian Dance Academy and did several workshops where he got most of his impactful experiences. His collaborations included Gangaray Dance Company, Klári Pataky Company and Andrienn Hód. He is currently working with Compagnie Linga (CH) and is for many years member of Willany Leó Improvisational Dance Theatre (HU). Beside performing, creating and organising events for the above mentioned collective, he is also creating and touring his own work, which are in turn collaborations with artists Lia Ujcic and Marcell Paszkál Hován. András is also a musician, playing the piano, some kinds of jew harps and drums. He is the founder of Éghasadás improvisational music group, through which he leads ritualistic music activities. Last but not least he is a volunteer coordinator at the Theatre Stage of Ozora Festival.
