JONATHAN ROUSSELLE

I was first an athlete in ski freestyle until my injuries helped me to shift to a more artistic way to move. After my bachelor in sport science, I headed east: for a year, I travelled partly by bike and kayak, up to Iran.

I arrived in Georgia in 2019. There I immersed myself into dance and theater. After two years in Georgia, I returned to Switzerland to develop my vision and skills into performing art. I attended a theater and creation school following the Lecoq method.

After Lecoq school (2023), with my brothers, we drove to Georgia. On the road, we filmed a dance movie “dance with topos” in which I learned to read a landscape in order to let it inspire my movement. On arrival, we exhibit our photographic and video work.

In Tbilisi, I started coaching dancers at the movement theatre and I work on different projects including my own.
