Laura Tóth

Laura Tóth is a performer, dancer and choreographer based in Budapest, Hungary. As a dancer she worked with companies such as TranzDanz, Gangaray Dance Company, Central European Dance Theatre and Éva Duda Dance Company. 

Her creative works have been invited to several international festivals, including Masdanza, Stuttgart Solo Danz Theatre, Body.Radical and Horizont International Festivals. Her latest choreography for Szeged Contemporary Ballet received an award for the XXVI. International Contemporary Festival. 

She’s currently investigating the relationship between performance art and sustainability through her studies, works and her aim is to approach activism from an artistic point of view. She is also interested in the mental and physical angle of sustainability, and the horizontal approach in a creative art process. Therefore it will be a very good opportunity to explore horizontal methods within the Icodaco residency program.
