Zsófia Szász

Zsófia Szász(1998) is a contemporary dancer and creator. Hungarian folk dance and culture took a big part in her childhood, now they are great inspirations for her choreographic works (Adaptation, Softloneliness). She wishes to create/perform dance and share her thoughts. Not to translate dance but to question the difference between experiencing and understanding. Alja Branc, Katalin Bitó, and Zsófi are the founders of the just-formulating collective named Irene Plaque. They aspire to recognize possibilities for dance to take part in society. Their first common work is Dance Shop - an event series for discussing working-progress presentations with the audience.  As a dancer, Szász was lucky to work with many different choreographers. Her BA studies at BCDC, working with Márta Ladjánszki played a big part in her becoming the dancer she is. Currently next to dance, Zsófi is in the second year of her art therapy studies and works at Workshop Foundation.
