MARIANA DE PAULA FERREIRA

Mari Paula moves between dance and performance, with a education in Dance, degree in Performing Arts, specialization in Hybrid Art and Master's degree in Ibero-American Cultural Management. She founded her own company to explore contemporary themes rooted in her life experience and to share aspects of life that defy definitive answers. Her projects break the boundaries of stage language, addressing topics as migration, cultural anthropophagy, women, love and death, and explore the relationship between body and territory, from an artistic and social perspective. A performer at the Balé Teatro Guaíra and the Colectivo Casa Selvática. Awarded the Funarte Klauss Vianna National Dance Award for her first own creation, her pieces have been performed in Africa, South America, North America and Europe. She is co-founder of Las Vivas Ibero-American Dance Platform and since 2019 works as an association to improve the dance sector in Spain and Latin America.
