MANON SIV DUQUESNAY
Dance performer and choreographer, with an MA in Choreography from DASPA Copenhagen and BA in Dance Performance from UniArts Sweden. Currently lives in a rural area of Asturias in Spain, where she is a mother of two and co-runs the artistic space Sala Sabil. Her work stems from the inner voice of a curious child’s presence and observation and invites us to open up for what is not immediately given, to sense and feel subjects of insolite matter. Her pieces And it rained for thousands of years, Ode to you & Groundless Ground have been presented all over Europe and in Latin America. She was part of Metropolis Performing Landscapes and Walking Landscapes. She danced for Sara Shelton Mann, Lucas Condró, Cristian Duarte and Jefta Van Dinther amongst others. She shares her research between contemporary dance, improvisation, voice and martial arts as workshops alongside her choreographic work, continuously renourishing each other.
