MÓNICA GARCÍA

Spanish creator, teacher and performer. Degree in Choreography and Dance from the Royal Conservatory of Dance Madrid, Specialist in Changes in Culture and Society from the Open University of Catalonia. Jury Prize for Choreographer at the XVIII Choreographic Competition in Madrid, Artist Resident at Espaço do Tempo Montemor-o-Novo, La Casa Encendida Madrid and Laboral Teatro Gijón. Her works have been presented in various Spanish and European theaters and festivals. She has worked as a choreographer for the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de Madrid, Centro Dramático Nacional etc. and danced in Catherine Diverrés Company, Staatsteather Darmstadt, Teatro de Abadía and Provisional Danza among others. Mónica is the protagonist of the film 'Con el viento' by Meritxell Colell, Silver Biznaga for best film at Malaga Festival 2018. She has tought in Pontifical University of Salamanca, Association of Dance Professionals Madrid, Trasdanza, Dance Company Staatsteather Darmstadt, Professional Dance Conservatory in Gijón etc.
