Aigars Larionovs

Aigars Larionovs is a Latvian-born teacher, choreographer, and dance artist. Graduated with an MFA degree from Florida State University School of Dance in May 2020. He has taught capoeira and dance workshops in the USA, Latvia, Italy, Greece and other European countries. Throughout his dance career he has performed in works by Jawole Zollar, Guy Nader and Maria Campos, Ilze Zirina, Josephine Garibaldi. His choreographies have been performed at A.I.R. Dance Conference (Miami, FL), COCO Dance Festival (Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago). Aigars’ dance films Traces (2020) and City Arcs (2021) have been selected for dance film festivals and Online dance platforms in Mexico, Turkey, South Africa, USA. He has extensive experience in various performance formats from the opera stage, to site specific community theater. As a choreographer, Aigars has a particular focus on collaborative art-making.
